Head-and-neck positioning is the natural enemy of ordinary airway tubes. In ENT surgery the head is rotated, extended, and repositioned repeatedly, and a standard tube bends, flattens, or occludes exactly when the surgeon needs the airway most stable.

This reinforced laryngeal mask airway embeds a spiral support structure inside the ventilation tube, so the tube keeps its round cross-section and its airflow even under sharp flexion, compression from surgical drapes, or manipulation by the operating team. The result is a supraglottic airway that behaves predictably through long, position-critical procedures.
